Begin strengthening that spine!

 

Great exercise to begin strengthening the spine.

Also great for shoulders. BUT, do it right:

  1. Hips stay level, no twisting or tilting.

  2. Shoulders stay level, no twisting or tilting.

  3. Don't raise leg or arm above horizontal.

  4. Do make a fist 👊🏼 and squeeze everything tight to maximise neural drive.

Aim to feel rock solid. Abs and butt muscles engaged as well as low back muscles. You should feel yourself tiring or you aren't squeezing hard enough! Hold 10 seconds, change sides, x3.
